Practice Management

The practice manager is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology.

The practice manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.

Mrs Nicky Brenton

Practice Managernicky

Nicky has been with the practice for 5 years, initially as Assistant Practice Manager and has recently taken on the role of Practice Manager. Nicky has almost 25 years experience working within General Practice and has worked her way up from receptionist, seeing many changes along the way.

In her spare time she enjoys running, going to the gym, baking (hence all the keep fit!) and spending time with her teenage son.

Mrs Caroline Trays

Assistant Practice Manager

Caroline has had 20 years experience in General Practice. She started in a dispensing practice as receptionist/dispenser, then moved on to a non dispensing practice as the Reception Office Manager. With the merger of 3 practices in 2015 with a patient population of 32.000 she was promoted to a Site Operations Manager.

By joining Wadebridge and Camel Estuary Practice in 2019 she has gone full circle.

Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as dealing with financial claims, dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and practice audits.Receptionist Photo
