The Cornwall & Isle of Scilly PCT has commissioned extended opening hours to help those who find it difficult to get to the surgery during opening hours.
Please note the following:
On Saturday May 17 the three oldest 'girls' at the Practice, Lynn, Maureen and Patsy (combined age 178!) are taking part in the Moonwalk in London - a sponsored walk of 26.2 miles, overnight, in decorated bras, in aid of Breast Cancer.
If you would like to sponsor us there are sponsor forms at both Wadebridge and Rock surgeries, or you can visit www.justgiving.com/lynnsmith and donate on line.
Many thanks for your support - watch this space to see how we get on!
On Saturday, 22 September 2007 between 09.30 am and 12.00 noon we are having an Open Day.
Please come along and meet with the Doctors and Staff informally in a relaxed atmosphere. Find out about the services we offer and take this opportunity to put forward your ideas.
Join us for a free cup of tea or coffee and a chat.
You can view the poster for the day here.

Sadly Alison Stewart had to pull out of the London Marathon with a knee injury, but plans to run in it next year. Oliver Scott completed it in a time of 4hrs 41minutes. It was a wonderful experience despite the heat on the day!
Thank you so much to everyone who has donated to our fundraising efforts for FLEET, helping us to raise over £2,500 so far for the emergency equipment in Cornish ambulances.
Appointments
The practice now offers both pre-bookable and book on day appointments. Pre-bookable appointments can be booked by any patient up to two weeks in advance and are limited in number to 11 appointments per doctor per full day. This does not include the duty doctor who can not be booked in advance.
Flu vaccination clinic appointments available from the 20th October 2006. If you are eligible you will receive a letter of invitation in due course.
To be eligible you need to fall into one of the following categories:
During our Open Day on Saturday, 2 September 2006, Mrs Ida Need from the Rock Arts Society kindly donated a cheque for FLEET funds to Mike, who is a paramedic with FLEET and who joined us for our Surgery Open Day. Many thanks to Rock Arts Society and FLEET for their continuing support.

The Open Day was a great success, and the first of its kind that we are aware of in the country, and we aim to make it an annual event if you could not make it this year we look forward to seeing you next time!
The surgery will be holding an open day on Saturday 2 September 2006. Everyone is welcome to come along and meet the doctors, nurses and staff in a relaxed atmosphere from 10 am to 12.30 pm at Wadebridge.
The idea of the open day is to introduce the people of Wadebridge and surrounding areas to our services and discover what services you would like to see developed for the future.
There will be displays, advice and free information on:
Clinical staff will be available to answer your questions on these and other topics.
Supporting the open day will be representatives from FLEET with their emergency vehicle and equipment. You will be able to see the results of your local fund raising for FLEET.
You will probably be aware that Dr Charles Hewitt has retired from the practice as of 9th March 2006. He has worked here for just over 30 years and has been a great force in shaping the practice into what it is today. He will be greatly missed by staff and patients alike.
We are pleased to announce that Dr Max Dutson has been appointed as his successor, and started work at the practice on April 3rd 2006.
New website launched! We hope you find it useful.
